Visitor from Alaska

I don't usually post photos of the Guatemala Bound quilts until they're finished.  But last week a friend from Anchorage, Pat, came to visit.  We had so much fun sewing and were so productive, I thought I should share.  Pat brought three tops with her and generously donated those to the Guatemala Bound project.  Two were finished, and the third she finished on her first day here.

Then Pat and I put this quilt together using triangles that were cut and donated by Deb H of Puyallup.

While Pat was busy designing the Guest Room Quilt, I worked on making this applique panel by Chris of Vancouver into a twin-size quilt.

We worked quite a while on this Guest Room Quilt.  Pat did the cutting, ironing, and designing, while I sewed whatever she put in front of me.  This piece is about 3' x 4' right now.  We put it aside to work on during our next visit.

After Pat left last Friday, I sewed these blocks together.  The Vancouver group started these blocks at the last workday we had at my house.  I made the remainder of the blocks.  Pat arranged them into this wonderful maze.

We made backs for all these tops as well, so my to-be-quilted pile has grown to about double its previous size .  Better get busy...
