Bold Expressions at the Bellevue Arts Museum

Bold Expressions: African American Quilts from the Collection of Corrine Riley is now on view at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington.  I had the chance to see this fabulous show a couple of weeks ago.  Here are some of the quilts in the show.  I took these photos with my phone, so they're not the best.  The show runs until October 7, 2012, so get yourself over there!  You can order the catalog of the show from Amazon.

Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Park is located at the point where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet.  It's a Unesco World Heritage Site.  More than 275 waterfalls are located in the jungle at the confluence of the Rio Parana and the Rio Iguazu.  Here are just a few photos from my two-and-a-half day stay there last June.  The rivers were particularly muddy, but the weather was wonderful, in the 70's and no rain!  Unusual, they said.

Coaties gone shopping.
