Snaps from Xi'an
Xi'an was our third stop. The main attraction there is the Terra Cotta Warriors.
The warriors were created by artisans for the first Chinese emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in about 300 BC. The soldiers were to protect the emperor in the afterlife. Over 8000 warriors, horses and chariots have been excavated. The site is thought to extend 38 square miles, only a small portion of which has been excavated. It is truly an overwhelming sight.
Other photo ops in Xi'an.

Moments in Beijing
Me at the Great Wall outside Beijing. I only made it to the second tower, bad knees and all. But I felt ok with that.
Prayer garden at the Great Wall.
Views at the Summer Palace.
Some of our group joined in with the locals exercising at a Beijing park.
Street scene in Beijing.
Forbidden City.
Remember this walkway from The Last Emperor? This was where His Highness learned to ride a bike.
