CVG 2021

The 2021 CVG Show opens at the Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton, Washington on January 23. The gallery will be open to visitors, subject to Covid restrictions. A variety of virtual events are planned. See the Gallery's website for the latest information.

My quilt, Line Dry, will be included in the exhibit. This quilt was inspired by my trip to India and Nepal in 2013. During a walk through the older part of Khajuraho I saw colorful saris hanging on clotheslines adorning dwellings painted Mediterranean blue. Upon my return home, those images made their way forward.

Quilts Donated to YWCA Safe Choice Shelter, Vancouver

I made another drop-off today: 15 quilts to the Vancouver YWCA Safe Choice Shelter.

These first two quilts, Sailing Day and Red Barn, are by Suzanne from Anchorage.

Spring Garden is by Cheryl, also from Anchorage.

And Nettie's Stacked Bricks I is from Pat in Anchorage.

Two quilts, Primaries and Big Pink, are from our Oregon Coast retreat last year.

This quilt, Flipside, I pieced back in the 1980's. I just got around to quilting it. Remember vinyl records?

The rest are more of my square-within-a-squares and scrap log cabins. I'm stuck...

This last one incorporates some block I had from 4th Avenue Quilters in Anchorage. The second block in the second row is Judy Hopkins' Tin Man block.

Quilts to Brighten Safe Choice Shelter in Vancouver

In February, 10 quilts went to the YWCA Safe Choice Shelter in Vancouver, Washington.

This quilt was pieced by Joan in Anchorage.

This one is by Pat S. in Anchorage.

This is a group quilt from several folks in Oregon and Washington.

And this one is from Rosie in Anacortes.

The others are mine. I'm stuck on scrap log cabins and square-within-a-squares.
