Two of my pieces, Crater and Canopy, are at the Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights, Illinois.  The exhibit, Material Matters, closes October 25.  If you're in the area this week, stop by.

Just got the great news that I have a piece accepted in Quilt National! Yippeeeee! I can't show a photo of the piece - it has to be brand new at the show.  My friend Mary Arnold also was accepted. I'm going to be making trip plans soon...

Mayan Families Summer Newsletter Available

Here is the link to the summer newsletter for Mayan Families, the organization that distributes the quilts we've been making.  Take a look.  They are a really worthwhile organization that provides very individualized services to indigenous people in the Lake Atitlan area.  Consider sponsoring a child for school.  Costs start at only $15 per month.

 

American Art Company NW Contemporary Art Quilt Exhibit, Tacoma

Two quilts in my Ornament series are in the American Art Company exhibit.  Stop by if you are in Tacoma.

New Legacies Exhibit at the Lincoln Center, Fort Collins, Colorado

Three of my quilts were juried into the 32nd Annual New Legacies: Contemporary Art Quilts exhibition at the Lincoln Center Galleries, 417 W. Magnolia, Fort Collins, Colorado 80521.  The show runs July 11 through August 30, 2014.  Seismic Activity was given an Honorable Mention, which the cover letter states was "selected by the judges for excellence in craftsmanship, artistic expression and innovation in design and construction."  That put a big smile on my face!

Tangle Featured in Visions Art Museum Online Gallery

July 2014 - The Visions Art Museum of San Diego inaugural online gallery exhibition Wild Thing!, is now online!  Images were selected from the following artist member websites to create the first exhibition: Brooke Atherton, Bonnie Bucknam, Maryline Collioud-Robert, Catherine Kleeman, Gillian Moss, Dan Olfe, Maria Shell, Louisa L. Simply Red at the Architechtural Heritage Center in Portland, Oregon
